Life savers Manipur and blood bank and transfusion unit, JNIMS today organized a blood donation camp at the Hospital under the sponsorship of Lions Club of Imphal Greater.
K. Padmakumar Sharma, Secretary of Life savers Manipur said the members of organization are all blood donors who had donated many times earlier. Manipur being a conflict state the requirement of blood transfusion is very high and this is the first initiative taken up by the organization and there are many more to come, said Mr. Sharma. Mr. Sharma himself had earlier donated his blood for 23 times. Students from different colleges and schools including the government blind school also donated their blood during the camp.
