BJYM inspects price hike of essential commodities at Thangal Bazar

A team of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) led by its president O. Malesh today inspected shops at Thangal Bazar to check price hike in essential commodities. Speaking to media persons at the spot O Malesh said that price of essential commodities were found to have been sold at the will of the shop owners.

“Each shops has different price for the same commodities”, Malesh said.

He further added that the shop keepers here in the heart of Imphal city has been taking advantage of the present situation and sold the essential commodities at any price that they fixed. He said the state government authorities are turning blind eyes to the selling of goods at any price rate.

“The BJYM will sent a report to the Central government authority regarding the price hike of essential commodities in the state and will apprise them to take up effective measures to make available of all the essential goods besides directing to control the price rate”, Malesh added.

On the other hand, Malesh said that the BJYM Manipur Pradesh will organized a Marathon race on October 4 as a part of the Panch Kranti Abhiyan.

He further said that the Marathon race is a part of the nationwide event organized by the BJYM. The Marathon race will be set off from BJP Manipur Pradesh at Nityapat Chuthek and will snake through the streets of greater Imphal area and will later conclude at the starting point. The event aims to promote cleanliness drive inspire by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’ Swaach Bharat Mission.

He further added that Narandra Modi led NDA government has included Imphal for taking up the Smart City Project. On the day the members of the BJYM will organize tree plantation programme cum awareness campaign to promote cleanliness in the region.
