BJP to announce first phase list candidates for State legislative election tomorrow

Imphal, Jan 16: BJP is all set to announce first phase list of candidates late tomorrow evening. A highly place source said that the announcement will be made after a meeting of the Parliamentary Board meeting scheduled at New Delhi tomorrow evening. National BJP leaders – Prakash Javedkar, Union Minister, HRD, Prahlad Singh Patel, MP and Ajay Jamal , North East-in-charge for BJP who came here in the state and discussed about the party ticket issue with the state leaders of the BJP left Imphal today morning along with Ksh. Bhavananda, President BJP Manipur Pradesh for New Delhi. They will further discuss about the development in tomorrow’s Parliamentary board meeting of the BJP and will announce the name of the candidates for the first phase. Amit Shah, Chairman and BJP National President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath, Arun Jaitley, cabinet Minister, Sushma Swaraj, cabinet Minister, M. Venkaiah Naidu, Cabinet Minister, Nitin Gadkari, Cabinet Minister, Ananth Kumar, Cabinet Minister, Thawarchand Gehlot, Cabinet Minister, Jagat Prakash Nadda, Cabinet Minister, Ramlal, National General Secretary (Org.) and Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh are the members of the Parliamentary board. Source further added name of candidates for Sagolband, Mayang Imphal, Moirang, Heingang, Heirok and Nambol assembly constituencies along with some constituencies from the hill districts may be included in the first phase announcement. Remaining will be announced in the 2nd phase announcement. Mention may be made that, Prakash Javedkar, Union Minister, HRD, Prahlad Singh Patel, MP and Ajay Jamal , North East-in-charge for BJP had a consultative meeting with the state BJP leaders over party ticket issues at Hotel Classic Grande. The meeting prepared lists of intending candidates but kept it secret as numbers of intending candidates are more than 2 at some of the Assembly Constituencies.
