BJP’s officer bearers meeting underway in New Delhi

Whether Th. Chaoba will continue or not  is likely to declare tomorrow

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive and officer bearers meeting are underway in New Delhi. Report reaching here said that the meeting begins from 2.00 pm at BJP Head Quarter, New Delhi. Party President Amit Shah inaugurated the meeting where two resolutions related to political and the General Budget are expected to be adopted. The National Executive meeting of the party will take place this evening. The two-day meeting will discuss current political situation in the country and take stock of organizational issues besides fine-tuning party’s strategy for the ensuing Assembly elections in five states.
Another source said that meeting will also decide on whom to appoint the State Unit President of the BJP which are lying vacant. Interestingly the matter encircling over the issue of Manipur Pradesh BJP is also expected to be discussed. Present President of BJP Manipur Pradesh Th. Chaoba had already left Imphal on March 14 to attend the meeting. It is crucial to give any comment on whether the National leadership will hold election to elect a new Party president for Manipur or whether the National leadership will asked Th. Chaba to continue as the president of the state unit in view of the upcoming IMC election and also the Manipur Legislative Assembly election scheduled on Janaury next year. However, decision regarding the matter is yet to be declared.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the concluding session on Sunday. It will be the first National Executive after Amit Shah took over as President for the second term.
Source said that the meeting will also discuss about the election to be conducted in five states including Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Bihar and Pondicherry.
Agency reports that the meeting comes in the backdrop of recent controversy over alleged anti-national slogans in JNU, death of a Dalit scholar in Hyderabad University and Jat quota agitation in Haryana.
