BJP re-iterated stand on National Sports University construction; says Koutruk is the best location

Imphal, Oct 14: Convenor of the Election Committee, BJP Manipur Pradesh, Thounaojam Chaoba today sent strong message to the Government of Manipur saying that the party will put all effort to stop construction of National Sports University at Yaithibi Loukon in Thoubal district.
Talking at the one day political conference for BJP workers a 21- Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa Mandal at Langthabal Phuramakhong, the former president of BJP and still continue to remain as strong man of the Right wing party Manipur Chapter, Th. Chaoba said that he could not find any logical justification for choosing the Cultivable Agricultural land that too by spending huge amount of state fund at a time when the state is facing acute shortage fund.
The former Union Minister of State is referring to the peoples’ plea to establish the Sports University near Koutruk at which locals of the area are ready to donate the land at free of cost. 
On the other hand, Th. Chaoba also said that the BJP will not allow any violation of human rights as well as international agreement signed by India to protect the cultivable land as well as forest area.
MLA Khumukcham Joykishan who also spoke on the occasion lambasted the state government for punishing those government officials who are rendering their duty with sincerity. Joykishan called on how Inspector Ranjit was victimize after he hauled by large quantity of narcotic drugs as the owners or those involved in the drug rackets happen to be close relatives of the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi.
BJP state vice president M.Ashnikumar singh, spokesperson N. Mangi, along with three aspirant candidates of Naoriya Phakhanglakpa Assembly Constituency including N Manoranjan, O Malesh and E Subash attended the political conference as dignitaries.
