BJP National President arrives in the state

The National President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) arrives at Imphal today evening.
He was supposed to land at Imphal airport at 10:30 am but came by road from Kohima due to unpredictable weather condition. Large number of BJP supporters receives him at Senapati district head quarter and escorted him to Imphal.
According to information from state BJP unit, the party president Amit shah was supposed to take off from Kohima to reach Imphal. However, he added, the party president has decided to travel to reach Imphal by road and some plans have been differed that from earlier that was fixed. He will directly join a luncheon at Utlou which is being hosted by the state president, Th Chaoba at his residence and he will directly address a mass gathering at Hao ground, Singjamei Chingamathak, Imphal West district in the afternoon, a party man added.
“Besides addressing a mass gathering, the national president would also inaugurate Syama Prasad Mukherjee Hall and Ibudhou Shanglen, which was newly constructed inside the BJP state unit office”, he stated.
The national party president’s visit to the state is a part of his Northeast tour which has come to strengthen BJP.
According to information, National President, BJP, Amit Shah, National General Secretary (orgn.), Ram Lal and National Executive Member, Tapir Gao will hold the night at Hotel Classic.
