Manipur People Party (MPP) and BJP, Manipur Pradesh today paid fitting tribute to the departed Manipuri leaders who had sacrificed during the Anglo-Manipuri War at the Battlefield of Khongjom in 1891. Leaders and workers of the MPP paid floral tribute to the portraits of Paona Brajabashi and Sanakhya Chinglensana at the conference Hall of the MPP. President of MPP, N. Sovakiran, Former President Dr. L. Chandramani, Ex MLA O Jugindro, Vice president M Amutombi etc. attended as presidium members.
Leaders of the BJP, Manipur Pradesh also paid fitting tribute to the Martyrs of Khongjom War at its party office at Keishampat Nityapat Chuthek. The party leaders and the workers paid floral tribute to the portraits of the war heroes.
