A team of BJP Manipur Pradesh led by state president, Th. Chaoba today inspected the present situation of Tengnoupal bandh. The state president, BJP appealed to suspend the bandh for some days considering inconveniences of the people.
The team met the bandh supporters and inspected the current situation of the bandh affected area at Tengnoupal. Speaking to the people of the area, Th. Chaoba said that the road being an important national highway is the lifeline for many people including business persons of the state. The bandh is affecting the whole state. He said that transferring the CO of the AR post of Tengnoupal will not be the only solution hence a permanent resolution should be made. He further condemned the harassing of people by Assam Riffles at Tengnoupal and said that he will go to Delhi and talk to Home Minister and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi by 12th Feb to bring an immediate solution. Considering for the damage caused to the people of the state he appealed to the bandh supporter to suspend it for some days.
During the visit, the King of Tengnoupal village said that the JAC is going to meet AR officials today. If there is no good result the JAC will intensify its agitation.
