BJP Manipur Pradesh to call on all non congress political parties in the state to unitedly stand against the Manipur regulation of visitors, tenant and migrant worker’s bill, 2015 (MRVTMW).
Addressing a press conference today at the office of state BJP unit, states spokesperson, RK Shivchandra said that passing the MRVTMW bill is an insult to those experts who were members of the All Political Parties Committee on ILP system. After being discussed for six months the committee resorted to a concrete recommendation which was accepted by all; even the late chief justice, RK Manisana had put across his invaluable comment when he was alive. He added that the new bill is completely opposite to the one recommended by the committee; instead of checking the visitors the bill is friendlier to the foreigners. The MRVTMW bill is totally unacceptable and it is necessary to unite all the political parties except for Congress party and object the unacceptable bill.
Shivchandra further asked what the Deputy Chief Minister has to say regarding the matter as the Deputy Chief Minister was the Chairman of the committee. He added that this issue of implementing ILP system in the state could have taken care by the Chief Minister when the Congress government was ruling in the centre. He added that the government is not people oriented and hence one issue gets shifted to other issue.
He added that BJP strongly condemns the new bill and will support pressure groups to amend the bill.
