Bishnupur relief camp will be shutdown, if Sharda and Nongdrenkhomba fails to clarify

The Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang Lup has warned to shut down the Bishnupur Relief Camp located at Old DC Building, Loukoipat, if Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi, President Bharatiya Janata Party, Manipur Pradesh and Nongdrenkhomba, camp in charge fails to clarify on to why a ward of an inmate of the said relief camp are asked to join the weaning ceremony at the Khuman Lampak Relief Camp. Also, the Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang Lup strongly condemned the statement of A Sharda Devi at the said event.
This was stated by M Bilki, Secretary of Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang Lup in a press meet held at Old DC Building, Loukoipat Bishnupur today. The relief camp opened at the Old DC building was opened under the supervision of District Administration Bishnupur with help from Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang Lup, a conglomerate body of Local clubs, Meira Paibis, and Local MLAs. Many have worked for the well-being of the inmates displaced from the May 3 violence, thinking of it as a service to God. So far, weaning ceremonies and birth ceremonies of newborn babies in the camp as per religious rituals have been performed, including three operations of the inmates.
M Bilki further said, that on May 17 present inmate Chingtham Mahesh along with her spouse Chingthamongbi Radha were transferred from the relief camp at Moirang College to District Hospital, Bishnupur as the latter was expecting a baby. After that, Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang Lup arranged monetary, clothing, and other required assistance and admitted Chingtham Ongbi Radha to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal. On May 22, Radha was blessed with a baby boy and was transferred to the relief camp for pregnant and newly born mothers opened at Khuman Lampak Youth Hostel Relief camp, arranged by the state government. However, as per Radha’s desire to stay at the relief camp opened at Bishnupur, she was again transferred back after an Ambulance was arranged for her.
It is very surprising that, without informing Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang Lup, Radha went to Imphal and participated in the Weaning ceremony at Khuman Lampak Relief Camp, in the presence of A Sharda President, BJP Manipur Pradesh. This act of summoning an inmate from Bishnupur Relief Camp and organizing the weaning ceremony at another relief camp at Khuman Lampak is to tarnish the image of Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang Lup.
