Bhaktacharandas demands arrest of Union MoS Pratima Bhoumik

Former Union Minister and AICC in charge of Manipur Bhakta Charandas has demanded arrest of the Union MoS for Social Justice Pratima Bhoumik who had burnt effigy in front of MPCC office here in Imphal and provoke BJYM to violent activities against the congress workers.
“A Minister in the government is not permitted to join or lead a violent protest and how should she continue as a minister of India while she herself indulged in such a violent manner” , Bhakta Charandas said while appealing the police that appropriate action should be taken up by the state police.
“What are these police doing? Why are they not arresting the Minister who had provoked violent protest in front of a political party office”, the AICC in-charge for Manipur told media persons reacting to yesterday incident at which members of the BJYM led by the Union State Minister Pratima Bhoumik staged protest by burning effigies of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
The MPCC president, N. Loken also slammed the Home department for not taking up action against the violent protestors. He said that the police forces are guarding them while the BJYM activists led by the Union Minister of State are burning the effigies of the congress leader in front of the MPCC office at around 5 pm.
“We don’t believe in violence as we are followers of Mahatama Gandhi”, Loken said while stating that the Congress youth wing to have a strong number of members who can retaliate any moment.
