Colorful dances of various ethnic groups residing in the state marked Beating the Retreat Celebration in Imphal.
The celebration was held with much gaiety at the Parade Ground of 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles, Imphal. Ten dance troupes from across the state took part in the folk dance competition which was organised in connection the Republic Day celebration, 2015.
Prizes of various categories of competitions for Republic Day were also distributed as a part of the function. In March Past Manipur Jail stood first position in Uniform Contingent while Manipur Police Imphal West (Female) and BSF stood second and third position respectively.
