To support and empower the people, spread awareness on vaccination and provide necessary material help, Minister (TA & Hills) and his team travelled about 902 kilometres to cover all 64 inhabited villages in Thanlon Assembly Constituency. The epic feat takes 22 hours of travelling time through the rough terrains of the hills and walking on foot when necessary.
As a part of Seva Hi Sangathan 2.0 campaign and to mark the completion of 7 years of Modi government, the minister travelled far and wide within his constituency. Apart from distributing essential items like facemask, hand sanitizers and other covid related preventive materials, the minister sanction an amount of Rs. 2 lakhs for renovation and improvement of Covid Care Centre building located at Thanlon PHC building. The Minister also visits the three Community Home Isolation Centres situated at Thanlon, Sinzawl and Pherzawl village and donated mattresses, food items, face masks, sanitizers and medicines.
During his visit, the different Village Task Forces, medical department and security forces decided to form a networking system for better and rapid intervention if the need arises. The minister instructed government officials and urged the community leaders to be available for the people to provide any kind of help if and when required. “The joy is doubled when I see the happy faces of the people. The services rendered is more fruitful as the challenges become higher and higher” the minister stated.
The team demonstrated SoP guidelines, safe practices and provide necessary information for covid testing, treatment and care to the village task forces.
Thanking the minister and his team, the chiefs, CSO leaders and tribe leaders thanked the minister for his love and support in this crucial time when no one dares visit them.
Earlier on May 30, Minister (TA & Hills) VungzaginValte visited Community Home Isolation Centres and Village Task Forces in the far flung villages of Thanlon assembly constituency today. The campaign has been started in Thanlon A/C with the aim to combat the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic effectively in the rural areas of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts.
Speaking to the people, Minister Valteurged them to remain extra careful and strictly follow the coronavirus related guidelines. He also encourages people to vaccinate themselves and not to fall into misleading claims shared about Covid vaccines.
Minister Valte distributes medicines, face masks, sanitizers through the village task forces and offer whatever help was required to those in need, especially the vulnerable who were left to fend for themselves during this difficult times. He also strengthens and empowers the village task forces by providing monetary help at his own expense.
The Minister also visits the three Community Home Isolation Centres situated at Thanlon, Sinzawl and Pherzawl village and donated mattresses, food items, face masks, sanitizers and medicines.
It may be mentioned that ‘Seva Hi Sangathan 2.0’ campaign was held to mark seven years of Modi government.
