Imphal, Dec 16: Supporters of Chandel Naga People’s Organisation (CNPO) today block road at LIWA area in Chandel district from early morning today.
The Chandel Naga People’s Organisation has earlier notified a total bandh from December 15 midnight in Chandel district demanding removal of state police commandos from Chandel district. The organization had issued an ultimatum to the State Government on December 11 to remove the commandos from the district before midnight of December 14.
Due to the bandh vehicular movement were prevented by the bandh supporters. Shops and other business establishment remain closed during the bandh called by the CNPO. Police team which rushed the site faced tough time in controlling the bandh supporters.
