Awareness Programme on Child Protection held at Khunyai Village, Tengnoupal

A one-day awareness programme on Child Protection and Related Laws was organised at Khunyai Village Community Hall, Machi Block, by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Tengnoupal in collaboration with NUSMUCOS Ltd., Pallel Cluster.
The programme was attended by Md. Nuzmul Huda Khan, MCS, SDO Machi as Chief Guest, Shri Arif Sajad, SDC Tengnoupal as Guest of Honour, and Shri Devavrata Sharma as President of the function.
Technical sessions were conducted by Mrs. Darngam Khaling (Member Secretary, CWC Tengnoupal), Mrs  Khulak Tonthang Dangshawa (2nd OC, Tengnoupal PS), and Mrs. Tontang Moishel (Member, CWC Tengnoupal), who spoke on various aspects of child protection laws and community involvement.
Although Shri Devavrata sharma,the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) ,Tengnoupal could not attend in person, his message was read out, stressing that child protection is a shared responsibility, not limited to one department. He called for collective action from all stakeholders to ensure children’s safety and well-being.
The event saw active participation from community members, youth, and village leaders, and concluded with an interactive discussion on strengthening child protection mechanisms in the district.
