Imphal, May 19: Assistant Engineers of PWD who have joined the department are likely to launch strike if the state government failed to regularize them and arrange for befitting promotion.
It has been informed by one among the 100 SO Grade I, who have been recruited from 1982-1991 during a press meet today.
He also said that since their date of joining they have not been promoted from the post and remain as AE in-charge for all these years. While, other employees of the department, who have been newly recruited were promoted in three years from their date of joining.
If the concerned authority of the State Government failed to regularize the AE in-charge on one time regular basis, the employees are ready to take the various courses of agitations.
