Assam Rifles organises Iftaar Party

Imphal, June 9,

With an aim to create a harmonious atmosphere and to connect with people and spread the message of unity, universal brotherhood, peace and harmony, Mayang Imphal Company Operating Base of Tulihal Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organized a grand Iftar party in Lilong yesterday. Col KS Dadhwal, Deputy Commander, 9 Sector Assam Rifles interacted with the locals and conveyed his greetings to one and all on Ramazan before breaking the day-long fast with them. Mr Goutam Singh, SP Thoubal also graced the occasion.
An overwhelming strength of approximately 520 people from all walks of life including Shri Ibobishak, OC Lilong PS, Shri Faizal, Nominee Zila Parishad, Maulvis of various Mosques, Ward Members, Councilors and members of Anjuman Islah-e-Muaashrah attended the grand Iftar party at Madrassa Darul Uloom Markaz in Lilong.
The grandiose evening provided an opportunity to develop bonding among people and sharing of cultural and traditional values. The event was highly appreciated by the locals and members of various NGOs. Volunteers of Anjuman Islah-e-Muaashrah came forward to assist Assam Rifles/ Army in smooth conduct of the Iftar party. Post Iftar party prayers were conducted in the mosque for peace and harmony in Manipur.
