To motivate the local youth and inspire them to join Armed forces for a bright and illustrious career, a motivation lecture and weapon display programme was organised at Pangaltabi company of Kakching battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) on 08 December 2018. A total of 100 students of JNV School, Umathel and Elite Children School Chairel Khunou attended the event which emphasised on creating awareness and provided an insight about the Armed forces.
The young enthusiasts were enlightened with various types of entries into the Armed Forces as officers and recruitment into Armed Forces as soldiers to include employability conditions of service. Along with this different types of weapons and equipments were also demonstrated to students. The event was also aimed at changing the perception of youth towards security forces.
The staff and students appreciated the gesture shown by Kakching battalion and expressed their gratitude thereby reaffirming the importance of the role of Assam Rifles in bringing a positive change in the society.
