Assam Rifles Flag off National Integration tour for students

As part of the Assam Rifles’s ongoing outreach programme to foster the spirit of National Integration, across the entire swathe of the country, a tour comprising of 24 school students from various schools of Thoubal district of Manipur is being organised from 01 to 16 October 2018.

The flagging off ceremony for the same was held today at Khongjom headquarters of the Thoubal Battalion of Assam Rifles. The participants interacted with Brigadier Amit Kabthiyal, Sena Medal & Mr P Brojen Singh, MLA Wangjing Tentha AC.They shared their experiences with the students and motivated them to work hard and contribute actively in the Nation Building process.

They also exhorted them to be responsible citizens and serve the cause of the society and the Nation. During the course of their tour the participants will visit various cultural and historical places in New Delhi & Pune and will also be meeting the Honourable President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The National Integration Tours are educational and motivational tours for youth of Manipur with an aim to provide an insight into the rich heritage of the country as well as various developmental and industry initiatives that are underway. This initiative will expose them to various career options and enable them to interact with renowned personalities.
