Assam Rifles extends assistance to under privileged children

Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) extended assistance to the under privileged children of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Mantripukhri and Boys Hostel, HQ IGAR (South) by distributing utility items on Yesterday.
The event commenced with an informative lecture on various Central and State Govt initiatives for upliftment of children and various private schemes currently being undertaken by Civil Administration followed by an interaction of Mrs Rachana Singh, Regional President Assam Rifles Women Welfare Association (ARWWA), HQ IGAR (South) with the students.
 As part of the goodwill gesture, a utility item distribution programme for the under privileged children was organised in which  Mrs Rachana Singh, Regional President Assam Rifles Women Welfare Association (ARWWA), HQ IGAR (South) distributed the utility hampers to  more than 25 under privileged children of the school and hostel.  The event witnessed attendance by one hundred students and staff of the school. The earnest endeavor of the event organised was to bring joy into the hearts and smile on the faces of children. The event culminated with light refreshments for all attendees.
