Assam Rifles apprehends an active cadre of KNA(I), a non-SoO group

In a major breakthrough against Non-SoO groups operating in remote areas of Churachandpur District of Manipur, Churachandpur Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (East) apprehended an active cadre of KNA (I), a Non-SoO group, from Phoipi village of Churachandpur district in Manipur on 31 May 2021.
Based on specific intelligence about the presence of an active KNA(I) cadre in the general area Phoipi village in Churachandpur District, Security Force launched an operation and apprehended an active cadre of KNA(I) who has been actively involved in extortion and kidnapping.
The apprehended cadre identified as NehjathangHaokip, resident ofPhoipi village, Churachandpur District and has been handed over to Police Station Henglep for further investigation.
