ASM, CIRCA, AMAL resolve to fight illegal migrant issue

Assam Sanmilita Mahasangha (ASM), Coalition for Indigenous’ Rights Campaign (CIRCA) and Manipur and Assam Meitei Apunba Lup (AMAL) has resolved to fight against illegal migrant collectively.
Speaking to media persons during a press conference at Manipur Press Club, here Matiur Rahman, Working President of ASM said that indigenous communities of northeastern states are at the verge of extinction due to illegal influx.
He also informed that the trio bodies would organized a People’s parliament of all the indigenous communities and ethnic groups of Northeast region.
Highlighting the issues being face by indigenous people in Assam, the ASM leader demanded to made 1951 as the base line for the identification of “foreigners”.
