Imphal, Nov 25: Inaugural function of Asian Theatre Festival organised in connection with the Manipur Sangai festival was held today at Hongmemshang , the NT Theatre’s Playhouse located at Changangei Ucheckon, near Imphal airport.
The inaugural function of the theatre festival organised by NT Theatre was attended by Dr. RK Nimai Singh (Retd. IAS), Consultant to the Government of Manipur as the chief guest while N Ashok Kumar (IAS) Special Secretary (Tourism) presided over it. Dr. Naorem Khagendra Singh , VC of the Manipur University of Culture also attended the inaugural function as the guest of honour.
On the inaugural day Kalakshetra’s “Dak Ghar” was presented. Dak Ghar was originally directed by renowned Theatre Director Late Heishnam Kanhailal who had departed for heavenly abode a month back.
