Imphal, Aug. 6: Tamei Battalion of Senapati Brigade, under the aegis of Red Shield Division, assisted Tamei HQ Youth Club, to organize Independence day Football tournament. The opening ceremony was held on 05 Aug 16 and was presided by Mr Z Kikhonbou, MLATamei and in attendance were, Commanding Officer TameiBattalion, President of All Naga Student Union, Mr NK Job and Medical Officer, PHC Tamei, DrAdani. In the opening ceremony, students from LiangmeiGovt High School and Hamei English High School performed cultural programme.36 teams from Tamei and Tousem subdivision are participating in the tournament. Final of the tournament will be played on 15th of August.
