Imphal, Dec 30, Combined team of CDO Imphal West and 6 AR rounded up two arm smugglers from Singjamei area along Imphal – Moreh route at around 8.30 pm yesterday evening. Police source said that the two arms smugglers were nabbed while they were on their way to deliver the arms and ammunitions in an Eca Van bearing registration No. No. AS12M 6067. The two arms smugglers nabbed the combined team have been identified as Seilenmang Haokip @ Ngamthang (26yrs) s/o Seingam Haokip of saitu village, kangpokpi Dist. and Deepak Kumar (24yrs) s/o Bhusan Prasad of Motbung Bazar . The two were on their way to hand over the arms and ammunition to two persons namely Suresh and Jiten at Churachandpur . Arms and ammunition recovered from their possession are One M4A1 Carbine with one fibre magazine, One M16 Rifle with one magazine and three mobile hand sets. The vehicle that they used were also detent in custody . The arrested persons along with seizures are now in Singjamei Popilce Station.
