Arms dealers nabbed with huge consignment of arms and ammunition

Troops of Red Shield Division busted a very well planned & coordinated attempt of arms dealers to illegally smuggle a huge consignment of weapons  and ammunition inside Manipur along Indo-Myanmar Border. According to PRO (Defence) statement, a special operation was launched by the troops of Red Shield Division from Churachandpur district based on specific intelligence input  regarding movement of three arms dealers  in the villages close to the International Border on Thursday.  During the operation three arms  dealers were apprehended alongwith seven MA III MK II Rifles, 14 Magazines & 19 rounds packed in a steel case and  cash of 2,08,000 Kyat. The apprehendees have been identified as  Khenthang (age 48 years) S/o Luthsuanthang r/o Zamphi District Tonzang (Myanmar),  Paudoa (Age 45 years) S/o Thang Khogin r/o Zamphi District Tonzang (Myanmar) and Seamtong (Age 36 years) S/o Pau Suanthong r/o Zamphi District Tonzang (Myanmar).
