Imphal Dec 30, Somsai Batallion under the aegis of HQ 10 Sector Assam Rifles and HQ IGAR(South) organised a number of festive events from 22nd to 28th December 2018 as part of Christmas celebrations in different villages of Ukhrul district. The events included sports, Church service, assistance to orphanages and presenting cakes and gifts. Sincere endeavours were made to contribute to the happiness and joy of the local populace and offer assistance in their festivities. The events were organized in the remote corners of Ukhrul district including remote villages like Tusom, Chingaroi, Huishu, Hata, and Kharasom which created an all round atmosphere of bonhoime and collective celebration. The populace has expressed gratitude for the initiatives taken by the battalion.
