On 17 June 2018, Somsai Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) provided immediate medical assistance to a seven year old boy of Tusom Khullen village Ukhrul District. The young boy sustained injuries on his head while playing. The prompt action of the medical team saved a precious life. Later the boy was evacuated to district Hospital, Ukhrul. The family of the victim appreciated this noble act of Assam Rifles
