Imphal, March 9: 17 Assam Rifles of Headquarters 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles(South) gifted a Water Reservoir Tank with distribution system to the border village of Sorde.
The village authority had approached 17 Assam Rifles for construction of Water Reservoir Tank with distribution system since there was no water supply facility available in that village and locals faced problems due to non availability of water supply. Assam Rifles immediately responded to the problems faced by villagers and constructed Water Reservoir Tank with distribution system under Border Area Development Project. The Water Reservoir Tank with distribution system constructed at Sorde village was handed over to village authorities on March 4. The village authority is expressed their heartfelt gratitude and sincere thanks to Assam Rifles for their support.
