AR Constructs waiting shed, community hall, multipurpose stage and village court at Ukhrul and Upper Khoiripok Village

As an initiative to serve the people in far flung villages of Manipur, 26 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR (South) constructed a temporary waiting shed for villagers at Upper Khoiripok village, Kamjong District. The waiting shed was prepared between Village Khoripok and Village Natjang to address the problem faced by the villagers transiting during the rainy season. The waiting shed was inaugurated by the Village Chiefs of Molan, Natjang and Upper Khoripok together.
On the other hand 27 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR (South) also constructed a Community Hall at Tora village, a Multipurpose Stage at Kachai village and village Court at Tolloi village, Ukhru district, Manipur. The village authorities had approached 27 Assam Rifles for the respective constructions in their villages. All the three villages has a sizeable population of Tangkhul community and the
project was heartily welcomed by them. The local population conveyed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles for their unstinted support leading to the realisation of a long cherished dream.
