29 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) is conducting a football and volleyball tournament at Laijang in a remote area of Chandel district. The matches are scheduled from 12 to 17 Jan 2016 in which teams from nearby villages are participating. To this end 29 Assam Rifles also provided the Joupi Team with a sports kit. The interest shown by the unit to promote sports among the young population of Joupi village was well appreciated by the youngsters and elders alike. The team members were all excited having received the requisite kit and much required motivation.
