Troops of 22 Assam Rifles arrested one UNLF cadre from Hiyanglam area during a search operation conducted on October 19. The arrested cadre has been identified as Elangban Frank alias Rupa Singh, aged 25 yrs, S/o Elangbam Pishak Singh, resident of village- Hiyanglam Awang Leikai, dist- Thoubal. A press statement said that army number of the arrested cadre is 1327 and is serving as a Private of the proscribed group. He has been handed over to Kakching Police station.
