Apunba Loumi Lup inspects paddy fields

Imphal July 4: Volunteers of Apunba Loumi Lup, Thoubal today inspected paddy fields which are getting ready for the second crop under the aegis of Agriculture Department of Manipur.

The inspection visit which was started from Elangkhangpokpi Patthang Pat Loukol covered around 300 hectare of different paddy fields under Thoubal District.

During the inspection visit general secretary of Apunba Loumi Lup said that the number of fields where double cropping practiced is becoming very limited in the state. However, in some parts of the state farmers are working very hard to start 2nd crop. However, the farmers are not getting any aid from the state government. If the government timely gives inputs to the farmers, there will be an increase in production.
