Apunba Jaribon Tengbang Lup extends assistance

A team led by President Naorem Makhonsana of Apunba Jaribon Tengbang Lup, Hailakandi, Assam comprising of 33 Meitei villages arrived in Imphal with blessings and instructions from the elders to extend assistance and support to the thousands of people displaced in the ensuing violence in the state as a way of showing solidarity with the people of the state and to bring peace and normalcy amongst the various indigenous communities once again.
According to the president, the team visited victims of the recent violence who are undergoing treatment at RIMS and extended financial assistance. They will also be visiting some of the worst affected areas of the state and extend financial assistance and relief materials to the displaced people staying at relief camps. It was also mentioned that a memorandum jointly signed by various student bodies and CSOs has already been submitted to the Prime Minister to restore normalcy in the state and rein in the armed terrorists fomenting violence in the state.
