Imphal, Aug 18 : In yet another rape incident, a minor girl was allegedly raped by one his uncle who is a neighbour in Manipur’s Bishnupur district. The incident took place on August 15 and the forensic science department of the RIMS conducted a test on the following day.Protesting the incident the locals dismantled the house of the accused person at Thingungei Awang Maning Leikai and formed a joint action committee against the incident. Meanwhile the mother of the victim girl speaking to media at the Manipur press club today has demanded justice into the incident.She urged the authority concerned not to release the accused person from the custody of the police. It may be worth mentioning here that the accused Angom Sanathoi (42) of Thinungei was arrested by the Bishnupur district police and remanded in the police custody till August 29 after producing before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Bishnupur.
