In yet another incident, which is more likely to be a crime against women, a housewife died in suspicious manner at her husband house at around 11 pm yesterday at Nambol Sabal leikai.Sensing foul play to the death of the housewife, locals of the deceased lady vandalised the house of the husband and blocked Tiddim road at Nambol area at around 9 am today morning. However, police team timely intervene and stopped from turning the situation into catastrophe.According to report, the deceased housewife has been identified as Irengbam Ningol Pukhrambam Ongbi Roshni Devi, she is about 22 years old. She got married to one Pukhrambam Chandrakumar , (25) of Nambol Sabal Leikai around one years back.“At around 11.30 pm yesterday, a neighbours of the deceased lady’s neighbours called on mobile phone to her father Irengbam Rajen Singh and informed that she got fainted”, said a protestor.Irengbam Rajen, after getting the information along with other family member went at his daughter’s house to inquire about the incident but on reaching there they were told that Roshni has been evacuated at Nambol PHC. They later went to Nambol PHC but again they were told that Roshni has been referred to RIMS hospital. A staff of the Nambol PHC told that Roshni was brought dead at the PHC on further enquiry.On hearing the news large number of people of Irengbam Awang Leikai, the parental locality of Roshni, went to RIMS and found her dead.Later, the locals came to the residence of Roshni’s husband Pukhrambam Chadrakumar and started vandalising the property. A police team who was alerted since the incident timely intervene the mob. Later, the locals again came out at Tiddim road at Nambol area and started blocking the road. The police team further control the situation.
