The 14th Annual Sports Meet of the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) commenced today with the lighting of the sacred fire from the Sanamahi Temple at Hiyangthang Khongban near the 1st Manipur Rifles Battalion. Members of AMWJU carried the sacred fire from the temple to the Manipur Press Club in Imphal, marking the official launch of the sports event.
The sports meet aims to promote the sporting talents of journalists while also emphasizing their physical well-being and overall health consciousness. The event provides an opportunity for media professionals to engage in recreational activities, fostering camaraderie and fitness among members of the journalist fraternity.
