Ex –reporter of Imphal Times and later work as the office assistant of Manipur Press Club, Lamabam Jashubanta , son of (Late) Birmangol of Sagolbandh Khamnam Leirak passed away today morning after a prolonged illness. He died at JNIMS hospital where he has been undergoing treatment for the past few weeks.
All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) and Editors’ Guild Manipur (EGM) condole the untimely demise of Jashubanta and paid floral tribute to the lifeless body of the Press Club staff at Manipur Press Club. A two minutes silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the parted soul.
Late Lamabam Jashubanta served as reporter of this newspaper for time being before joining the Manipur Press Club as Office Assistant. Team Imphal Times also condole the demise of the one time team.
