In association with Shija Hospitals & Research Institute, Langol & CHSRC Ukhrul, Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) East Zone organized a two day AMASI Laparoscopic Surgery Workshop on 26th February 2016 and 27th February 2016. A surgery team led by Dr. Jugindra Sorokhaibam, treasurer, AMASI East Zone cum Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon (MS), Shija Hospitals conducted free laparoscopic surgeries for five patients during the workshop. The team also consists of Dr. Chandragupta Ch., Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon (MS), Shija Hospitals; Dr. Kennedy T., Anesthetist, Shija Hospitals and Dr. Rocky L., Sonologist, Shija Hospitals. Free Ultrasound Screening along with free detailed consultation was also conducted for 190 patients during the workshop. The workshop was held to popularize Laparoscopic Surgery (Keyhole Surgery) and to enlighten its advantage in Ukhrul District. The workshop was supported by staffs of Shija Information Centre Ukhrul; CHSRC Ukhrul and Shija Hospitals.
