AMAND celebrates International Women’s Day by visiting orphan home in Pune

On the eve of International Women’s Day 2021, the AMAND Ladies’ Club which is a ladies wing of the Association of Manipuri Diaspora (AMAND) Pune, organized Annual Orphanage Visit 2021 to New Vision Rainbow Home, Mangalwar Peth, Pune on Sunday.
New Vision Rainbow Home is a residential home for girls of poor single parents. Items of grocery, stationery, used books, sanitary pads, and used clothes were donated to the inmates.
In a simple function organized at the above home, Mrs. Keron Singha, VP, AMAND Ladies’ Club welcomed the audience comprising of the inmates, managers of the home, AMAND Ladies’s Club members, and representatives from AMAND Executives.
Tarunibala Khumanthem, President Ladies’ Club spoke about AMAND and International Women’s Day. Miss Madhuri Gaikwad, Manager of the home spoke about the home and thanked AMAND Ladies’ Club for the kind donation. While giving the vote of thanks, Er Giridhar Naorem, President, AMAND encouraged the girl inmates not to be disheartened thereby asking them to be sincere and working hard in their studies in order to be successful in life. The program was coordinated by Ambica Shougrakpam, General Secretary, AMAND Ladies’ club.
