Imphal, April 27: In continuation with the past tradition Thoubal Apunba Lup (TAL) and International Peace and Social Advancement, (IPSA) Kangleipak Manipur today observed Amamba Numit (Dark Day) in remembrance of the event in 1891 when Manipur lost its independence after the defeat at the Anglo-Manipur battle. The function was held at Thoubal Melaground Community Hall and marked the 19th edition of the observation.
Titular king of Manipur Leishemba Sanajaoba was the chief guest at the observation, while president of TAL Samom Raghumani was the functional president, and national awardee Kh Ibotombi and social scientist Dr Dhanabir Laishram were the special guests.
