A 36 years old person, who had allegedly rape and murdered an eleven years old girl was lynch by the angry local of Melory Village of Phek District in Nagaland.The alleged rapist has been identified as one Thoiba. He had been working as a carpenter in the residence of MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu of Phek Assembly constituency. Exact address of the deceased could not be known as of now but he is stated to be a Meitei.According to first hand report, an eleven years old girl studying at Christian Mission School, Melory was found brutally murdered after being rape at the village on September 17. Villagers suspect the murderer to have been the carpenter Thoiba and conducted a massive hunt for him. On September 18 the accused was found by the villagers of Jessami inManipur. He was then handed over to the Melory Women Society. He was then tight at neck with a rope and kept at Melory local ground. The irate villagers reportedly started beating him using sticks and iron bar. He died on the spot.The dead body lied on the ground for hours with no body to pick it up.
