Imphal, Sept15: All Manipur Medical Students’ Guardians Association held a press meet at the Manipur Press Club today in which S Sumati, Secretary of the Organisation alleged various anomalies in the selection process of the posts of Assistant Professors as per the order of the Director, JNIMS dated August 31, 2015. Highlighting the selection of one Dr. Roshni N (Nandakishore), a resident of 3/184, Asthalakshmi Avenue, Parthasarathy Nagar, Manapakkam, Chennai against the OBC (Meitei/Meetei) quota, Sumati questioned the rationale behind the process and demands a white paper on the details of the selected persons within three days failing which the association will resort to more intense actions against JNIMS. She further appealed to the authorities to refrain from selecting candidates on the recommendations of ministers and MLAs and to stick to the guidelines and rules of recruitment strictly. Elaborating on the selection of Roshni N, the spokesperson alleged that the particular candidate does not fulfill any eligibility criteria laid down in the advertisement for recruitment of staffs carried in the daily newspapers on 13 August, 2014.
