All is set for Miss Kut 2014. The  grand occasion will be held at 1st MR Parade Ground on 01st Nov, 2014.Addressing a press conference today at 01st MR Banquet Hall, Spokesperson, Kut Committee 2014, Mang. Kipgen said there will be slight changes in the upcoming Kut festival from before. He said there will be 11 tribal communities performing this year and the remaining tribes will perform in next year. There will be two sessions of the festival, first function starts at 10.00 am which will be graced by Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur, Gaikhangam and the later part of the function which starts at 05.00 pm will be graced by Chief Minister of Manipur, O. Ibobi. Kipgen further said the entry from Kalimai Temple is reserved for the VIPs and the road from BSNL Bhavan is reserved for general public. Kipgen further said there will be tight security in this festival and hence selective media persons can enter the festival where they have to be registered first hand to the Kut Committee. The first winner of the Miss Kut 2014 will receive cash award of One Lakh, the first runners up will receive cash award of 75 thousands and the second runners up will receive 50 thousand cash award. The participants of cultural programs will also be given first, second and third prizes of 55 thousands, 45 thousands and 35 thousands respectively.A rehearsal was also conducted today for the Miss Kut 2014 competition which will be participated by 22 contestants from various tribes.
