All Jiribam Contract Lecturers’ Association (AJICLA) demanded a regular principal of Borobekra Govt. Higher Secondary School to bring quality education at Jiribam, a press release states. Currently the school is operating with a graduate teacher as principal-in-charge. General Secretary AJICLA, JIRIBAM-MANIPUR, M.Romeo Singh said Jiribam Govt. Higher Secondary School whose student Amandeep Mishra secured the 8th position is the only government school who produced position holder at the high school leaving certificate examination 2015. However the lecturers of higher secondary are still being employed for teaching lower classes.
The statement further appealed to the CM and Education Minister to re-consider regularization of contract lecturer which was earlier declared by a Cabinet decision.
