Agriculture department felicitates Minister O. Lukhoi

Minister for Agriculture, Veterinary and Tourism, Oinam Lukhoi Singh was felicitated today by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Manipur at Farmers’ Training Hall, Directorate of Agriculture, Sanjenthong, Imphal.

Speaking at the occasion, Minister Lukhoi expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, N.Biren Singh for his trust and support towards working for the upliftment of the lives of all the people through the Departments assigned viz Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Tourism. Minister assured that he will execute and perform the given tasks of all the given portfolios in the best interests of all the Districts in Manipur.

While stressing the importance of team work for the success of any assigned tasks, Minister urged all the employees of Agriculture Department to cooperate and contribute maximum through the various schemes and projects for the welfare of the masses specially the farmers’ communities. He further appeal to all the field staffs and concerned officials to implement and introduce innovative ideas for the farmers. He also encouraged the officers and officials of the department to come forward with feedback and suggestions for the successful execution of any schemes/projects.

As most of the schemes of the Department are centrally sponsored schemes, Minister Lukhoi directed the officials to submit Utilisation Certificate (UC) on time for timely sanction of the project amounts as to avoid delay in the implementation of any schemes to be given to the farmers. He also informed that noteworthy work in the agricultural sectors will be focused.

During the visit, Agriculture Minister O. Lukhoi also inspected the Directorate office buildings and checked the various infrastructures located within the campus.

Commissioner, Agriculture, M. Joy Singh, Director of Agriculture, LaltanpuiiVanchhong, Officers and Officials of the Department also attended the reception function.
