After revised Covid-19 Vaccination came into force Manipur reduces vaccination session

After the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India has started the revised guideline to hike the Covid-19 Vaccination across the country, the state of Manipur instead of making plan to raise the vaccination has reduced not only the vaccination session but also the vaccine dose administered in the last two days.
When media report said that India recorded the highest single-day vaccine doses record after 80Lakh people were vaccinated on June 21st. Doses administered on the same day in Manipur were 6505. On the 2nd day, the number of vaccines administered was reduced to 4003.
Vaccination session prepared on the first day i.e May 21, after the revised guideline came into force was 99. The next day, i.e on June 22 the number of sessions planned was reduced to 73. Out of this vaccination, sessions could be held at only 64 centers.
The first-day achievement was lauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. he put out a tweet and congratulated India after the huge turnout at the vaccination centers. A new vaccine policy was announced by the Centre which came into effect on June 21st. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the vaccines will now be available free of cost for all those above the age of 18 years. The experts have now hailed and welcomed the move as this will boost the vaccination drive and help in combating the third wave more efficiently. Watch these ground reports.
