Imphal, Aug 31:
On the morning of the third day, militants from the hilltop continued firing towards the Meitei village at Naranseina and today afternoon the militants stopped using rifles and instead the militants started using bomb shells towards Thamnapokpi side.
“Those militants from atop the hill have started raining bombs towards the Meitei village”, a reporter who is at the spot said.
Combined troops of state police and central force have rushed to the side that retaliated the attack. Firing still continues at the time of filing this report.
At least 6 Kuki militants are reported killed in the gunbattle and around 10 of them were injured in the bloody battle, a report said.
