One day advocacy program on hepatitis C virus treatment was held at Wangjing today. The program was jointly organized by RVS (Rural Voluntary Services) and CONE (Community Network for Empowerment) supported by Manipur State AIDS Control Society and Treat Asia. The resource person for the program was R.K. Nolinikanta, President , CONE.
The program was mainly focused on the alarming issue of Hepatitis C epidemic among the injecting drug users in Manipur. The resource person also stressed the importance of early treatment of Hepatitis C virus during his presentation. He also highlighted about the available drugs for Hepatitis C at present.
