ADP review meeting held in Chandel

A review meeting on the initiatives and programmes under NITI Aayog’s Aspirational District Programme (ADP) was held today at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Chandel. The meeting was attended by Devesh Deval, IAS, Central Prabhari of ADP Chandel and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India.
Deputy Commissioner Chandel, Laishram Nandakumar-IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Firoz Khan, SDOs of Chakpikarong and Khengjoy, DIO Longjam Joshep, and other District Level Officers also participated in the review meeting. During the meeting, DC Laishram Nandakumar presented a detailed report on the key developmental works underway in the district.
Speaking at the review meeting, Devesh Deval mentioned that the progress of a district largely depends on the dedication of District Level Officers. He urged the officers to work selflessly to accelerate Chandel’s development. Highlighting the district’s diverse tribal communities, he stressed the importance of collective effort of the DLOs to bring Chandel on par with other districts in terms of development.
Following the meeting, Devesh Deval conducted an inspection of Chandel District Hospital and other locations in the district.
